GSNW was founded in 2007 by Earl D. Radmacher, Th.D., former president of Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. After the dissolution of Oregon Theological Seminary in May, 2007, Dr. Radmacher was more convinced than ever that the establishment of a new free grace seminary in the Willamette Valley of Oregon would serve many who sensed the call to a vocational ministry or further training in the Bible and theology, but due to location or cost were unable to pursue graduate theological training.

His vision, mission and passion are for a seminary that would not only embrace the freeness of God’s grace and the biblical doctrine of rewards, but also be committed to a normal, historical, grammatical hermeneutic, with an emphasis on Greek and Hebrew exegesis, along with dispensational theology.
